When James first approached me about working with GoBag, I was immediately hooked. It was perfect timing as I had a two-month trip along the west coast of America planned for the winter. Being able to take a GoBag with me traveling was awesome as it gave me plenty of first hand experience.
As my wife and I live in Sydney, where there’s eternal sunshine and beaches, it was great to be able to collect some contrasting footage throughout the snow- covered mountains in the Pacific Northwest where I am originally from. My ultimate goal when creating the video was to get as much diversity in landscape and seasons as possible. This worked out perfectly as we left during spring in Sydney, headed into winter in the states and finally returned to summer back in Australia. So I was able to capture a great range, which really showed off the fact that the bag is capable of all conditions. I wanted to showcase the GoBag everywhere, doing it all, even if it wasn’t always ‘in shot’.
Unfortunately we didn’t get as deep into the mountains of Washington as we hoped. There was record-breaking snowfall during December and a lot of the mountain passes were closed due to blizzard conditions. However, we made the most of what we could access, and I’m stoked to confirm the GoBag was so sturdy in all the weather conditions we found ourselves enduring!
It was such a good trip, and creating the video for GoBag was mad. Adventure and travel filmmaking is my idea of a good time, and a good time was most definitely had.
Cheers GoBag team!
